MEET AMY
Amy was raised in Arlington, Texas. The daughter of a single mother who immigrated from Michoacán, Mexico, Amy grew up seeing firsthand the struggles of working families. Her mom often worked multiple jobs to keep food on the table, teaching Amy and her brothers that grit, sacrifice, and community are what hold families together.

Amy’s childhood came with real challenges. When her older brother left school to help their single mother pay the bills, Amy learned early what sacrifice for family looks like. When her middle brother struggled with addiction, she saw how relentless love and support are needed to face battles that don’t have easy fixes. Instead of letting these experiences weigh her down, Amy used them to build strength. She grew into someone who doesn’t shy away from hard truths, who believes in second chances, and who knows that perseverance and grit are what it takes to carry families, and entire communities—through tough times.

From an early age, Amy recognized that working women already know how to lead. Running a household meant juggling bills, caring for family, managing schedules, and showing up to work every day. Amy came to believe those aren’t just qualities of survival, they’re the qualities of strong leaders.

Her career has been shaped by that same spirit of service. Amy has fought for working families in her community, always guided by one principle: that government should work for people, not against them. She has seen how too many Texas communities, especially small towns have been abandoned, left with shuttered hospitals, underfunded schools, and little support for working families. Amy knows that when schools are closed, when teachers are underpaid, and when local towns are left behind, the whole state suffers.
Motherhood is at the heart of Amy’s story. Growing up as the daughter of a single mom, she witnessed the courage it takes to juggle work, family, and responsibility with almost no safety net. Her mother’s strength taught her that women aren’t just capable of holding families together, they have the vision and determination to lead communities, and the grit to lead in government too.

Amy’s vision for Texas is grounded in that same belief: that families deserve leaders who fight for clean water, affordable healthcare, strong public schools, and thriving small towns, not just booming cities. She wants every mother, father, and caregiver to know their children will have a fair shot at a brighter future, whether they grow up in a city neighborhood or on a rural main street.

Amy is not a polished politician, she’s a neighbor, a daughter, and a fighter who has lived the struggles so many Texans face. She’s running because she believes it’s time for new leadership that listens, tells the truth, and puts people first.
Her campaign is about more than politics. It’s about dignity. It’s about community. It’s about building a Texas where families don’t just get by, they thrive.
